THURSDAY, Feb. 25th from 7 – 8:30 pm
WBAL-TV anchor/reporter Kai Reed moderates a Zoom discussion with television journalist and author Nancy Johnson about Johnson’s soon-to-be-released #ownvoices novel, The Kindest Lie. Described as a “searing, thought-provoking page-turner about race, class, identity and the pursuit of the American dream,” it’s a story about one Black family embedded in the larger story of America. This program is part of our Book Lovers Bash, a month-long celebration of reading, books and authors. Co-hosted by Carroll County Public Library. Registration closes one hour before the start of the program. A valid email address is needed at registration to send a Zoom link to the program 30 minutes before the scheduled start.
