Lecture: A Paris Life, A Baltimore Treasure

FREE

One of the largest art collections ever obtained by the BMA, the George Lucas Collection is comprised of 18,000 works of French 19th-century art. It has been described as a “great cultural treasure” that forever belongs to the people of Baltimore. Stanley Mazaroff, the author of A Paris Life, A Baltimore Treasure, will share his research and further explain why the Lucas Collection continues to be a “treasure” during this lecture in the BMA’s Meyerhoff Auditorium.

About the Author
Stanley Mazaroff is an independent art historian and the author of Henry Walters and Bernard Berenson: Collector and Connoisseur. Recognized annually in The Best Lawyers in America, Mazaroff retired from the active practice of law in 2003 to study art history at Johns Hopkins University.
